No, I am not in-network with any insurance panels. However, if you do have out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Yes! As part of my commitment to social, racial, and economic justice, I offer reduced therapy fees on an as-needed basis. I aim to run an inclusive practice that is not just for those who can afford the set fee.

I do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach to therapy. My approach is client-centered, relational, and strength-based. I pull from a variety of modalities to best suit your needs. These modalities include, but are not limited to, Psychodynamic Theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, and Attachment-Based Therapy.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California. This means I have legally completed enough hours to practice independently without a supervisor. In New York State, I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). This means I practice under a LCSW supervisor who I receive supervision from weekly. This ensures that I am legally and ethically providing services until I complete enough NYS licensure hours to practice independently.

Part of why I don’t take insurance is that I am not bound to diagnose clients. However, if I am providing you with a superbill, most insurers require that it have a diagnosis listed. I will not list any diagnosis until we have a thorough conversation about it and come to an agreement as to which diagnosis to put on the superbill.

While I do offer a 20-minute free phone consultation to see if we are a good fit, research has shown that the success of therapy is in the quality of our relationship, which often takes time to establish. However, if you feel that the vibe is just way off even after multiple sessions, please don’t hesitate to say so — I want to know! Hopefully, we can work through it, but if we can’t, I’m happy to provide you with additional referrals (no, I will not be offended)!

Certainly not! I aim to create a safe space for you, where you are free to be yourself and unmask. I meet my clients where they’re at. If eye contact does not feel right for you, we can have sessions via a phone call, or if we are in person, we can choose not to face one another. If you’d prefer we meet virtually, you are also free to turn off your camera on Zoom. If speaking does not feel right for you, I also offer a chat box or writing as options, along with other forms of augmentative communication.

I am licensed to meet virtually in California and New York State. Additionally, I offer in-person sessions in the Cow Hollow neighborhood of San Francisco, California, as well as walk-and-talk sessions at Alta Plaza Park in Pacific Heights.

Yes. Self-diagnosis is valid, and many people start their journey that way. I can support you in exploring whether autism fits your experience, be it if you’re self-reflecting or seeking a formal assessment. If you are looking for a diagnosis that is recognized by others, I offer neurodiversity-affirming autism and ADHD diagnostic evaluations. Learn more on my Autism & ADHD Therapy page.
